City's "Rim Fire" Support Activities and Water Quality and Delivery

There is no change or impact to the delivery of high quality water from Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. The Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System continues to deliver high-quality water to 2.6 million water customers in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area. Since before the fire began, we have been delivering water from Hetchy Reservoir to our customers and transferring to our local reservoirs. As a precautionary measure, we have increased the amount of the water delivery to the Bay Area from 292 million gallons a day to 302 million gallons a day. This will maximize the amount of water stored locally. This local storage would be used to meet customer demands if we needed to switch supplies.
